The Berkshire Co-Act Currency Net seeks to create an alternative economic future for our communities based on a monetary system that is free from debt and exploitative interest fees. The Currency Net is now forming a Depositors’ Association to support socially and environmentally responsible borrowers for socially productive purposes.

A committee has been exploring systems to relieve our credit crunch and job losses and is now forming a Depositors’ Association.  Another intention of this committee is to build and strengthen a local currency, such as Berkshares.  The Currency Net holds free seminars during the year.
