Community Organizing for Action

Work Force

Work Force is a collaboration of confident, unemployed laborers. Membership involves showing work ability through volunteering 14 hours of community service, and in the evaluation forms we provide.

How It Works

Clients set up appointments either through this form or by phone at (413) 445-4445. Each laborer receives $10 per hour in cash at the end of the job. We ask that you provide all materials and tools needed for the job.

You can either pick up the workers at the Pearl Street Day center in Pittsfield, or workers can come directly to your house for an additional transportation charge. The Pearl Street Day Center is located at:

Pearl Street Day Center
55 Fenn Street
Pittsfield, MA 01201

The Pearl Street Day Center only takes messages for Work Force and is not involved with financial exchanges or liability.

Pearl Street Day Center is a non-profit organization serving the unemployed or homeless in Berkshire County. Donations are greatly appreciated and can be made at the top-left corner of the site.
